Peter Roy and Ron are gone Up across the Great Divide Pictures all my life hanging on a wall Daylight Show me, tell me how to do it right When I'm on my own Something flickers in the candle-light Tells me I am close Human has a pain inside Pictures all my life Build a tower high Fashion it from sound and sight Show me, tell me how to do it right When I'm on my own Something flickers in the candle-light Tells me I am closer To the feeling that I might just get it right

When in the world Good things unfurl themselves to me It dark and damp hidden away from the sun and heat Wallow all day then walk away Sounds good to me All things must change All things must stay the same you see? Carpet The Green Ransom me and then marble my blue Things unbidden unfurl for you They said to me I don't know much Hidden away from the heat They said to me I don't know much Hidden away from the sea Follow me below - Down to the place where the moss fern grow Carpet The Green

Witchy Grid 03:29
Have you seen the Witchy Grid? Deep in the forest it's hid Step inside don't be afraid You can see what you've made Ask it a question - hear no lie We'll see you on the other side Grid writ large on the land Ask it a question hear no lie Buckle-up, enjoy the ride I don't care. Run before the plough! In one ear - the other out Have you been along the Rack? Have you no turning back? Deep the forest where it's hid Deep the truth of Witchy grid   I don't care. Run before the plough! In one ear - the other out Now we're deep, deep in Inner Bounds Chase. The hart. Woodcutts. The ground. Have you seen the Witchy Grid? Deep the forest where it's hid Now you've seen the Grid Of Witch Now you know what you did

You're here to work you're not dicking around Build yourself up and then knock yourself down Even on Sundays Write it on paper; fold it away (hold me never let me go) I'm here to work but I'm dicking around Turning up early, hanging around It's the same always Write it on paper; throw it away (hold me never let me go) Even on Sundays! Written on paper, saved for the day Meanwhile in town, never a frown Turning up early, hanging around

I can't see a way of making blue from grey Then I meet somebody who doesn't look at it that way I can't see a way of making work today "Over my dead body!" - that's not something I would say Fullest bright and full as cosmic right? Fade to blue from grey It's fleeting like a life  And I'm running all the way  "Over my dead body!" - that's not something I would say Fullest bright and full as cosmic right? Fade to blue from grey It's fleeting like a life  And I'm running all the way  I don't have the time, it's like the pylon-line Running though the valley Now I'm running all the way Fullest bright and full as cosmic right? Fade to blue from grey It's fleeting like a life  And I'm running all the way  "Over my dead body!" - that's not something I would say
6.
Say my name again Say it louder and then I will hear it in my brain! Over above the sound of the rain Falling again Kiss me, kiss me harder and harder again I will feel it I am awake! But when it comes to my mistake I'm falling again I'm not forsaken today On best behaviour anyway With heads on my pillow Not alone Play my song again Play it louder and then I will hear it from far away! Where I'll sit is where I'll stay I'm not forsaken today On best behaviour anyway With heads on my pillow Not alone Say my name again Say it louder and then I will hear it from my grave! Where I lie is where I'll stay Next' the field where they cut the hay

SWEET dreams, form a shade O’er my lovely infant’s head; Sweet dreams of pleasant streams By happy, silent, moony beams.   Sweet sleep, with soft down          Weave thy brows an infant crown. Sweet sleep, Angel mild, Hover o’er my happy child.   Sweet smiles, in the night Hover over my delight;          Sweet smiles, mother’s smiles, All the livelong night beguiles.   Sweet moans, dovelike sighs, Chase not slumber from thy eyes. Sweet moans, sweeter smiles,          All the dovelike moans beguiles.   Sleep, sleep, happy child, All creation slept and smil’d; Sleep, sleep, happy sleep, While o’er thee thy mother weep.            Sweet babe, in thy face Holy image I can trace. Sweet babe, once like thee, Thy maker lay and wept for me.   Wept for me, for thee, for all,          When He was an infant small. Thou His image ever see, Heavenly face that smiles on thee,   Smiles on thee, on me, on all; Who became an infant small.          Infant smiles are His own smiles; Heaven and earth to peace beguiles. WILLIAM BLAKE

Icarus 02:58
With the rising of the flood See the river flow He saw colours on the wall Colours that we'll never know Then he followed the river-green To the royal town He grew up tall He walked abroad He wore a golden crown St Cecilia was his girl She wore a purple shroud He played her music everywhere He liked it good and loud (I was there I heard it with my very ears!) He then flew too close to the sun (If you know what I mean?) The colours all ran and so it began - He fell into the water green Then he followed the river down Down to London-On-Sea He looked for a wife and all things nice Did he find her? What do you think? (I was there I saw it with my very eyes!) With the rising of the flood He lived and then he died He died for us all - someone had to fall It could have been you or me It might have been you or me

Oh Sally my dear, it's you I'd be kissing Oh Sally my dear, it's you I'd be kissing She smiled and replied, “you don't know what you're missing” Oh Sally my dear, I wish I could wed you Oh Sally my dear, I wish I could bed you She smiled and replied, "Then you'd say I'd misled you" If all you young men were hares on the mountain If all you young men were hares on the mountain How many young girls would take guns and go hunting? If the young men could sing like blackbirds and thrushes If the young men could sing like blackbirds and thrushes How many young girls would go beating the bushes? If all you young men wеre fish in the water If all you young mеn were fish in the water How many young girls would undress and dive after? But the young men are given to frisking and fooling Oh the young men are given to frisking and fooling So leave them alone and attend to your schooling

Nocturne 06:00
Be still my mind! It’s 5 in the morning I’m lying awake on my bed Outside the window the creatures and stirring I’m better off with them instead I’ll carry them around in a pocket Inside my coat And if it rains we’re alright Dry as you like I’ll carry them around with me Keep them in a jar And when it’s safe - let them go Into the morning.

In August 2021 I decided to release a download-only ’single’ every full moon for a year, with an ‘A side’ and a ‘B side’.
The series, called Lunar One’ thus began in Oct 21 and finished in Sep 22. Nearly all of the titles were written and recorded during the month of release (will a few exceptions).
This release is a collection of all the ‘A sides’, running in chronological order. All of the ‘B sides’ are available for free/pay what you like on the 'music' page (above).
